CLASS FAQ

Resin is a chemical, please make an informed choice

Resin is a chemical and as such we ask that you first review our resin information page here which is extremely thorough in addressing all elements of resin (including a copy of the safety data sheet). If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or a child please read them and make an informed decision. This class is a functional piece, which means you will seal your art supplies with resin. Once this resin has been cured for 14 days it is considered inert and therefore food safe under the FDA regulations.

Traveling with your work

Resin is a fluid medium, a bit like the consistency of honey. You   will travel home after class with your lazy susan covered in resin, it   will be fluid and your design will almost certainly move and settle and   look slightly different that it did in class (this is totally normal  and  would happen even if you didnt travel with it) - for that reason we   recommend highly ride-sharing, so that you can carry your work out of   the venue, into the car and home whilst keeping it level and minimizing   the movement. You will have a cardboard pizza box styled box to carry  your work home in and the tape 'dams' visible in the pictures above will  be in place until you arrive home. On arrival you will level your work   then pull the dam and allow the drips to fall, and remove any drips  from  under your susan with the take-home clean-up pack provided in  class.

Colours

We will have a range of colours available, we do not promise any particular colours, but we stock our kits well, if one colour is particularly popular on the evening and is exhausted, you will need to choose from another.

Parking

At this time of day, there is ample street parking available directly opposite the venue and more behind the building.

What to wear to class?

We can not provide aprons due to covid regulations and so we encourage you to BYO an apron if it is your preference. Please wear clothes that are appropriate for an art class as the art mediums we use in class will stain clothes.

What happens if I can't make it?

You can find the terms and conditions here.

What size is this class

This class may vary from 10-50 people depending on any given night. We send additional teachers when class sizes are larger.
